APPOINTMENTS

Appointments are on an appointment-only basis, please contact info@chiqwawa.co.za to make a booking. 

  • Consultation fee:

  • R50 Formal Wear Consultation (30 minutes) 

  • R100 Standard Wedding Dress Consultation (1 hour)

  • R250 VIB (Very-Important-Bride) Consultation (2 hours & 1 bottle of bubbly)

Please ensure you are on time for your appointment, as appointments cannot be extended.

    ​ORDERING AND PAYMENTS

    • An invoice is sent for each order placed to the email addresses provided. Please check your invoice to ensure that all the specifications are correct.  All items will be made exactly according to this invoice. If you have any concerns please contact us immediately.

    • Wedding dress orders take approximately 12 weeks for production, from the date that Proof of Payment was received. 
    • Bridesmaid Dress/Formal Wear/Matric Farewell orders take approximately 8-10 weeks for production, from date that Proof of Payment is received for the Order.
    • Please provide the correct email addresses when completing your details. Email is our means of communication.

    • ChiqWawa requires a non-refundable deposit for all items before we will place your order and start with production.

    • Please use your order number as a reference when making a deposit or payment.  This number allows ChiqWawa to link the payment to your order. Failure to use the correct reference may result in payments not being allocated correctly.

    • Please notify ChiqWawa immediately if you wish to make any changes to measurements on your order.

    • Production is initiated as soon as the order is placed and payment has been made. Clients will be liable for additional costs should changes be requested after production has started.

    • All changes to orders should be done via email - with your order number as reference - to insure correct orders are being updated. Only changes made via email will be accepted. No changes via SMS or phone will be considered.

    SAMPLE DRESS SALE

    • All sample dresses are sold as is, no alterations are included in the price indicated.
    • Upon request, ChiqWawa can provide details of a reputable alteration-ladies that will be able to assist with alterations.
    • We take care to ensure that our dresses are kept in a clean and good state. However, due to the nature of sample items used during fittings, some soiling and/or tearing may occur. No cleaning/fixing is included in the sample price, but can be requested at a small, additional fee.
    • Sample Dresses can be couriered to your address of choice at standard courier rates (to be covered by the client).
    • No cash refunds will be made. All refunds will take the form of a ChiqWawa-voucher equalling the value of the refunded purchase.

    FINAL FITTINGS & COLLECTIONS

    • Once your item is ready to be collected, we will contact you for either a Final Fitting Appointment, or a Collection. Kindly take note of which you have been booked for. ChiqWawa does not do dress fittings during Collections, but only by prior arrangement for a Final Fitting.

    • On the day of collection or final fitting, items are to be paid for should any outstanding amounts be due, and collected. We do not offer a holding service. 

    • To facilitate this process, ChiqWawa requests all clients to bring a hard-copy of their proof of payments on the day of collection if payment was made via an EFT.

    • In the unlikely event that you feel that the item does not meet your expectations or discrepancies exist between the item and order invoice, please contact us as soon as possible at info@chiqwawa.co.za or 0720339412 to discuss this.

    • Please ensure all orders for the same bridal party are collected and paid for together. Clients tend to leave some dresses behind and never collect.

    ALTERATIONS

    • You will be charged for all requested alterations if the item has been made according to the measurements and specifications as described on the invoice or last email (agreement).

    • If the item has not been made according to the measurements and specifications indicated on the invoice or last email (agreement), ChiqWawa will cover the related alteration costs at our in-house alterations lady.

    • Please allow us 2 weeks for alterations.

    COLOURS & FABRIC

    • As ChiqWawa has no control over the manufacturing of the fabric used in our items, we cannot take responsibility for slight variations in colour or designs that may happen. However, ChiqWawa will ensure that all changes are kept to a minimum. The client will be notified if colour/design changes are significant.

    • As ChiqWawa is dependent on importers for fabric, we cannot take responsibility for fabric colours becoming unavailable (out of stock). In these instances, ChiqWawa will communicate this to the client and attempt to provide the most suitable alternatives, or refund the client if needed.

    • Every item is quality assessed before being made available to client. However,  slight defects may occur from time to time. In these instances, please see our return policy below.

    OTHER

    • From time to time, ChiqWawa will request previous customers to submit photographs, with the intention of using these photographs for advertising purposes.

    • By submitting photographs to ChiqWawa, the customer gives his/her approval and consent for these photographs to be used for advertising purposes. If you do not wish your photographs to be used for advertising purposes and publications, please do indicate it when sending us your pictures.

    • ChiqWawa will request permission from the photographer when photographs are used for advertising purposes.

    • ChiqWawa will make every effort to ensure all information (such as the customer name and photographer details) are correct at the time of publication.

    RETURN POLICY

    • ChiqWawa does not offer refunds on custom-sized garments. Should the item not have been made as per your invoice, ChiqWawa will alter it at no charge to the customer. Please note that costs related to changes to the garment design will not be covered by ChiqWawa, and only alterations to measurements and/or correction of defects will be made to ensure the garment matches the signed-off invoice.

    • All standard-sized garments purchased are fully refundable (with a ChiqWawa voucher - no cash refunds) or exchangeable if the garment is unworn, and within 5 days after the purchase was made.

    • No cash refunds will be made. 

    • Should you be interested in a different size, exchanges are welcome. However, ChiqWawa will not be liable for any courier fees or transport costs involved.

    • If the item is flawed we will happily exchange it once it has been returned at ChiqWawa's expense within 5 days from receiving it.

    • Please notify ChiqWawa via e-mail (info@chiqwawa.co.za) before doing so and specify what your reason is for returning the garment. Ensure that the garment is in its original state, i.e. no alterations, wear-and-tear, washing etc. allowed.

    • Once we have received the garment and done the necessary checks, we will contact you with details of the exchange.

    • Refunds may take up to 10 working days to process.

    • No refunds will be awarded in the case of malicious or intentional damage to our products, and we have experienced garment technologists who will inspect returned garments.

    • ChiqWawa will not be held liable for any transport or delivery costs incurred by the customer to return goods.

    • ChiqWawa shall have no obligation to accept any return that you desire to make after the expiration of the applicable return period (5 days after receipt of your parcel), or if the garment has been worn or there is visible damage to the product.

    • Please ensure when returning the parcel that the products are properly protected. We take no liaibility for damage or loss during transport, courier or postage. 

    • You are responsible for postage costs on returned items until it has been confirmed the reason for returning. 

    • We recommend using registered mail/courier services to return items, as we are not liable for any items lost in the post.
